Basic Frozen Yogurt

  • 2 egg whites 
  • 1 tsp. vanilla 
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 quart Half & Half
  • 1 pint plain yogurt

Combine Half & Half, plain yogurt and sugar or sugar substitute. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold egg whites and add vanilla. Churn and freeze with White Mountain Ice Cream Freezers.

1. Add fresh or frozen strawberries chopped fine for a delicious fruity dessert.
2. Melt 2 squares unsweetened chocolate, 1/4 cup sugar and add to the basic yogurt mixture

3. Mash 2 bananas, add 1/4 cup walnuts to yogurt mix.

Cheese-Yogurt Sherbet

  • 1/4 cup honey 
  • 1 1/2 cups yogurt 
  • 1 1/2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger 
  • 1/4. tsp. cinnamon 
  • 1/2 tsp. dried orange peel.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream 
  • 1 tbs. wheat germ 
  • 1/2 tsp. dried lemon peel
  • 1 tbs. vanilla 
  • 1/2 tbs. lemon juice

Combine all ingredients in blender until smooth. Churn and freeze with White Mountain Ice Cream Freezers. Those of you who are daily cottage cheese and yogurt addicts will find this a melt-in-the-mouth, sure to-please dessert. Instead of dried orange and lemon peel, a teaspoon of powdered fruit rind could be substituted.

Orange-Yogurt Crunch

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • Pinch sea salt
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup chopped unsalted nuts
  • 2/3 cup carob syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 tbs. grated orange rind
  • 2 eggs whites
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. almond extract

Combine orange juice, orange rind carob syrup, salt and yogurt. Blend until smooth. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into yogurt mixture. Add heavy cream lemon juice, vanilla almond extract and nuts. Churn and freeze with White Mountain Ice Cream Freezers.
