This is a penetrating alcohol-based dye uniquely created for natural strap leather, bag and case leather and vegetable tanned leathers. Professional Leather Oil Dye can be mixed easily to create striking middle tones. It dries uniformly and is remarkably colorfast concealing unwanted scratch and scuff marks. Fiebing Professional Leather Oil Dye provides excellent coverage and is also used by saddle makers worldwide.
Other Fiebing Leather Dye Products There is a distinct difference between antique finish and antique dye. Fiebing Antique Dye products will make a darker finish than their Antique Finish products. Antique dyes are heavier bodied and won’t spot as easily. Antique finishes generally need a top coating (with leather sheen or leather balm with Atom wax) and are an alternative way to dye leather when you want decorative stamping to stand out.
Fiebing Acrylic Dye For Leather This Fiebing Acrylic Dye is a water resistant, long lasting leather paint that dries quickly and is great for edge finishing. It is also available in the Acrylic Dye Pack, complete with a variety of leather dye colors plus a bottle of Acrylic Resolene and two artist brushes.
Fiebing Antique Finish Antique Finish helps to emphasize leather tooling, carving or embossing by sinking into the background while allowing the leather foreground to remain lighter creating a soft, two-toned effect. Since Fiebing antique finish is not completely waterproof it is recommended that you protect your leather with a wax or resin top coating like Resolene or Fiebing Leather Sheen or Leather Balm with AtomWax. Use Fiebing's Tan Kote to thin Antique Finish (as required).
