The one-easy-motion julienne peeler.
An excellent julienne
peeler is equipped with many sharp teeth to cut
any root vegetable or food item into thin, even strips.
Traditionally a julienne peeler makes small matchstick
sized sticks of food approximately two inches in length
and about one eight to one quarter of an inch thick.
Creating food an eighth of an inch thick
with your julienne
peeler is ideal for adding color to salads, making
hashed brown potatoes or different types of decorative
garnishes. Use your julienne peeler to cut one-quarter
inch thick food items to make great vegetable tray finger
snacks, side dishes and even stir fry dishes.
The julienne peeler is reputed to have
its origins in France where French chef Jean Julien
introduced the "julienne" method of food preparation.
Now you can make food preparation with produce fun also.
Simply take your julienne peeler and run the peeler
blade along your vegetable so that the teeth slice into
the produce as the blade slices the pieces off.
Very easy to clean, the julienne peeler
creates perfect julienne slices in one easy motion.
Have more creative fun with food preparation
and use a julienne peeler!
