Bugling Elk Dagger
by David Yellowhorse and Lone Wolf Knives

Our new “Bugling Elk Dagger” features custom silver and stone work by Native American artist David Yellowhorse and is limited to only 25 pieces. David has utilized our 3.5 inch high carbon stainless double edged dagger blade and applied turquoise, jet-stone, spiny oyster, ironwood and bloody basin jasper channel inlaid with sterling silver to form a beautiful and traditional knife. The double edge dagger was a traditionally favorite knife style for Native Americans because it is a good fighting tool and has two cutting edges for utility purposes.

The North American elk holds a special place in Native American culture with its meat, hide, teeth and sinew highly prized to sustain life and produce key elements of clothing and ceremonial objects. To celebrate the Elk’s role in their culture David has inlaid both sides of the knife handle with silver depicting the head and antlers of a bull elk with its head held up in the bugling positing. The bull elk would make this throaty bugle to announce his dominance of the elk heard challenging other bull elk to fight or flee. This genetic-ritual is amazing to witness and the Bugling Elk Dagger celebrates this exciting part of Native American Culture. The Bugling Elk Dagger is item number XC2700. The Bugling Elk Dagger is shipped in a padded knife pouch and includes a beautiful display stand. A certificate of authenticity verifies the artist, materials and the limited quantity produced. We are proud to offer this fine limited edition knife from Lone Wolf Knives and David Yellowhorse.
