Fourth generation native American artist David Yellowhorse enhances our stainless steel “Native Steel” full-tang knife blade and guard with blue turquoise, white turquoise, silver channel inlays and red coral. A hand engraved silver Buffalo is inlaid into both sides of the handle. Each blade is ground, heat treated, tempered and fitted with a stainless steel guard. A traditional leather lanyard is decorated with hand made beads of blue turquoise, white turquoise and bloody red jasper. Hand stippling is applied to the blade and each knife is signed by hand adding to the highly collectable value of this fine limited edition knife. Each blade is sharpened by hand to produce a razor sharp edge.

The buffalo image that is inlaid into the handle represents the “Sacred White Buffalo” that is one of the oldest and most cherished legends of native Americans. In early native American history the sacred white buffalo appeared in the form of a young Indian maiden and a white buffalo calf simultaneously to many tribes on the north American continent. The tribes were instructed by this figure about how they should structure their families and society to please the great spirit. To this day the sacred white buffalo remains a key foundation to many tribal practices and social structures.
